Stella Duncan Law
A kind, gentle & wise lady. She loved animals & would help anyone who needed it. A real character.
She was a remarkable lady and throughout her long life, she remained positive and cheerful in good times and bad. A real character.
She was a dedicated TB nurse throughout World War 2, and I can only imagine the hardships that she endured during that time. She found love and happiness with her husband Jim, who sadly died when she was quiet young, before they had a chance to start a family. However, she often looked after me in my childhood and took me down to the sea, which she loved. Our shared love of Fish and Chips was born on those outings.
She loved animals and owned many during her lifetime. She would help anyone with kindness and a lovely sense of humour. One of her sayings was, "I'm getting on with it", (meaning life). Another one was, "All you need is common sense". A lot of which she felt was lacking in this day and age. These are wisdom's that I and her many friends will remember. Goodbye Stella. Rest in your gentle sleep.
