Bert Yates

A quiet man who had a keen interest in all wildlife and who had supported Battersea for a number of years.

Our dad, Bert, who recently passed away, had been a supporter of Battersea for a number of years. He, along with our late mum had owned two dogs, a chihuahua "Shandy" who lived for 17 years and a Yorkshire terrier "Pebbles" who was sadly put to sleep at age 11.

They would have loved to have had another dog, but due to their own advanced years, this was not possible. They both loved watching any TV programme that involved the care and rescue of all animals and especially loved Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs. Donations were made in memory of our mum and so we would like to do the same in memory of our dad.
