The latest photo that I've uploaded is of Mum helping to train Peggy with her older sister and little brother.

Mum loved animals. She had worked in pet shops, in a veterinary surgery, even at London Zoo and volunteering with the cats at Battersea. We always had pets and she always spoke about her former pets with such affection I felt I'd known them, particularly Lassie the black lab cross.

But she also cared for people. Most of her jobs involved caring for people and even in those that didn't she genuinely cared about the people she worked with and hated thinking of anyone or anything upset or in pain.
