Mum had many dogs over her lifetime and each held a special place in her heart. Although dogs were her favourite she loved all animals.

Mum loved watching Battersea on television and couldn't understand how anyone could be so cruel to some of the beautiful animals on the programme. Had she of been more mobile and able to get out for walks she would have loved to have rescued an older dog in later life. She enjoyed cuddles with our cocker spaniel poppy who knew her as Nanny sausage as she always cooked a sausage treat for when poppy was coming to visit. She also loved her granddaughters horses and enjoyed a visit to see them.
